Description
I captured this image in Pongola Nature Reserve while I was working in the area as a ranger. I went on a routine boat check (actually I went to go lie in the back of the cruiser in the reserve and take photo's) when I came across two Southern Yellow-billed Hornbills perched right at the top of a dead tree. At first they were slightly spooked by my presence but eventually relaxed and began to call simultaneously with their heads down and wings in the air. I managed to snap away as they went about their business.
